IPL benefits

Competition is increased so player have to proof their best.

New technology coming like that mongoose bat.

Good for advertisement companies.

Benefiting those cricketers who are not given options in international cricket

To play in a team with other countries. So knowledge sharing. So a lot of learning process for cricketers.

Government is expected to receive more than Rs 200 crore as taxes from IPL tournament. the taxes would be accrued as Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) from the remuneration paid to players, umpires, coaches and commentators under the income tax category. while advertising, marketing and consultancy services of the sporting extravaganza will be taxed under the service tax bracket.

The government had received Rs 91 crore as taxes under the Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) category from the first edition of IPL

I don't think IPL is much beneficial to us. It is just becoming entertainment for us not developing as a game . because of this type game players are just playing 1 or 2 game and going aside. This can't be called 'competition' . If you miss even 1 ball or lose 1 wicket that can also change the situation of match. And Fitness problem is the main gift of this. I didn't say that there will not be any injury during other format of the game but in this type of game there is more possibility of getting injury.

New players coming up.

Learning lessons being received from the greatest players in the world, Shane Warne, Adam Gilchrist, Chaminda Vaas, M. Muralitharan, to name a few.

Source of income for the Govt.

Moreover, had anyone ever imagined that an Australian would be delighted to see an Indian player taking a wicket or hitting a century?
