Hi friends in this article am posting the details of the IPL 4 auction day 2 which was held in banglore last week and overall information about the teams. The total number of players were 353, of which only 127 players were sold.The auction was held in two days.In the first day of auction 72 players were sold and 16 unsold.There was a huge expectation on the secon day also because of Sourav Ganguly, Brian Lara and Chris Gayle being unsold on day 1.

DAY 2 HIGHLIGHTS:

55 players were sold on Day 2 of the auction.
210 players were unsold on Day 2 of the auction.
Highest bid for INDIAN player on Day 2 Umesh Yadav - 3.45 Crores.
Highest bid for FOREIGN player on Day 2 Daniel Christian - 4.41 Crores.

After the completion of auction for all the 353 players, the teams were given a second chance for picking up the unsold players. Some of the key players in the unsold group are Sourav Ganguly, Sanath Jayasuriya, Brian Lara, Chris Gayle, Murali Kartik, MarkBoucher and Jesse Ryder. All the ten teams were asked to give a wishlist of players.The auction for a particular player will be held only if atleast two teams have mentioned the player's name in their wish list.


Finally a list of 28 players were auctioned for the second time.The final list of players put in auction for the second time are Jesse Ryder, VRV Singh, David Miller, Dillon du Preez, Mohammad Kaif, Murali Karthik, Lendl Simmons, Juan Theoron, Travis Birt, WasimJaffer, Adam Voges, Mascarenhas, Jonathon Vandiar, Jamie How, Colin de Grandhomme, Glenn Maxwell, Tim Southee, Loots Bosman, Xavier Doherty, Moises Henriques, Luke Ronchi, Colin Ingram, Michael Lumb,Nathan Rimminghton, Aiden Blizzard, Rangana Hearth and robert Frylinck.Out of these 28 players the selected players were 13.

Group 2: Those who first played Ranji Trophy,  First Class or List A in the 2006-07, 2007-08 or 2008-09 seasons will get 20 Lakh per annum.

Group 3: Those who first played Ranji Trophy, First Class or List A in the 2005-06 or earliers seasons will get 30 lakh per annum.
