#)The LG ICC cricket awards alos famously called as CRICKET OSCARS were held held on 1st October 2009 in Johannesburg in South Africa, on the eve of first semifinals of the Champions trophy between Australia and England

#)Before the awards the nominations were held in Mumbai and the shortlisted candidates were announced on 15th september 2009

#)The awards were given based on the performance of the players between 13 August 2008 and 24 August 2009

#)The set up of the panel for th awrds was given a difficult task as it was selected by the 25 members of the voting academy to cast their votes in the individual player award categories and, also by using their experience and knowledge select the ICC World Test and ODI teams.
