Hi…. To all readers. Today I am going  to discuss about India Vs Sri lanka 2^nd match at Kanpur.

Today 24/11/2009 at 9:30 AM, its India vs Sri lanka 2^nd test first day at green park, Kanpur indian captain MS Dhoni won  the toss and elected to bat first. Two openers of india V Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir coming to play. Today luck with Indian team so no loose of wicket in early session like last match gambhir and sehwag played superbly. Till lunch india had scored 121/0  in 25 overs and at that time V sehwag 62 runs in 70 balls and G Gambhir 57 runs in 81 balls .

After lunch sehwag and gambhir started playing and both had scored hundred. In starting Sehwag was slower he scored only 6 runs in 24 balls and gambhir was faster then sehwag. After sehwag being settled he started hitting and scored hundred in just 98 balls using 13 fours and 2 six. After that on 131 he was out in murlitharan’s over  caught by dilshan. He scored 131 runs in just 122 balls, 107.37 strike rate with 18 fours and 2 sixes. At that time gambhir was on 98 runs in 129 balls and indias score was 233/1 in 41.2 overs. Sehwag and gambhi broke their oven record of first wicket partnership at Kanpur which was 218 runs Vs South Africa. Again they proved that they are the second best opening pair of Indian team after Sachin and Ganguly.  After that Rahul Dravid Come to play.  Again a good partnership between them. Gambhir scored his 103 runs from 132 balls. This is the fourth Test in a row in which Gambhir has scored a century. Till tea india scored 307 runs for 1 wicket in 59 overs Rahul Dravid at 32 runs from 62 balls and Gambhir at 140 runs from 173 balls.

After Tea in 75 th over Murlitharan Takes wicket of Gambhir. Gambhir was out on 167 from 215 balls with 77.67 strike rate, 18 fours and 2 sixes. At that time India was at 370 from 2 wicket.  Again a very good batting by Gambhir in last match he also helped India to make that match draw. And this time again he proved that he is a good batsman of Indian team. After that Sachin Tendulkar comes to bat and Sachin and Dravid finishes the day one and at end of day one india was at  417 from 2 wickets. Sachin scored 20 from 53 balls and Dravid At 85 from 153 balls.

Rahul Dravid has also closed in on yet another century, while Tendulkar was looking solid after coming in late in the day. All Indian batsman done very good today from  Sri lanka’s team only Murlitharan taken two wickets.

India is in strong position in this test. Tendulkar and Dravid is looking very strong and they are settled and Yuvraj , Dhoni And VVS Laxman still remain to bat. India can easily score over 800 runs. India’s chance to win this match is 50% and match draw is 30% and win of Sri lanka is 20%. Still in this match’s first day luck is with India, but no one knows about future of coming four days. Everything can be happen in match and luck can change any time.
