Nainital
Nainital is another popular hill station which is located in Uttrakhand. It is aproximately 300 kilometers away from Delhi and is one of the busiest hill stations of India. The best way to reach Nainital is by road which takes 7-8 hours from Delhi and vice versa. This beautiful hill station is surrounded by green hills which maintains its cold weather. The maximum temperature during winters is below 0 degrees and 15-20 degrees in summers. Snowfall is quite common in winters especially in Jan and Feb.
This beautiful hill station is named after a lake called Naini which stretches in kilometrers from one shore to the other. The lake has Mall road on one side, Naina Devi temple on the other side and is open for boating too. An evening walk on Mall road is a must for all the tourists. This road is famous for shopping, food and budget hotels. Woolen clothes, handicrafts, handbags, shoes, shawls etc are the common items available for shopping.
Arif Castle, Naini Retreat, Manu Maharani, Shervani Hilltop are some of its top luxury hotels. It's not easy to get a room in these big hotels especially in summers but yes tourists can try their luck by booking in advance. Apart from these luxury hotels, Nainital has other options too for the tourists who have a limited budget.
Bhimtal, Mukhteshwar, Jim Corbett etc are some of its near by places which can be visited and explored by the tourists. Bhimtal is famous for its lake and nature. Mukhteshwar is famous for its altitude and Jim Corbet is famous for its wild life. Jim Corbett is the oldest wild life park which is located near to Nainital. It is a perfect destination for photographers. Tigers, elephants, deer, snakes and many species of birds can be photographed here in their natural environment.
