DSC00750Packing for your holiday trip? Then this article is certainly for you. As the date of my trip with friends is nearing my excitement levels are soaring up and so are the preparations for the outing. The tickets are reserved and the itinerary been made and the packing has almost begun. This is one of the most important parts because missing out things can make you feel regretful during the trip or may become a cause of inconvenience. Being so good at packing I want to share with you what you must not miss to keep it comfortable and stylish too! So all those who are planning to for a trip with family or friends this article is definitely for you.

  • First of all make a list of things

It happens with me and may be with many of you too that prior to the start of the packing you keep reminding yourself of things you have to carry for the trip. Every now and then it strikes in your mind that you should not forget the extra batteries this time or the mobile charger. So it is advisable to make a list and keep adding to it whenever you make an addition in the mind. And when the packing begins make sure to consult the list and tick as you pack your bags.

  • Pack the items in order

This is one tip that I have learned from my mother. Pack your items in a neat order. Keep your t-shirts at one place neatly stacked one above the other, your bottoms together and so on. This will help you to take out your stuffs as and when required without actually disturbing the whole packing.

  • Always check on the weather conditions before hand

Yes! This is as important that you must check the weather conditions prior to your trip to the place. Especially during the monsoons if heavy rains are expected you must avoid hilly areas as the risk of landslides grows and moreover excess rains can become a spoilsport for your trip. After you have checked the weather conditions if it is usually hot and humid during the time you will be holidaying there keep clothes that are light and comfy. Similarly for a place that is expected to be cold at the time of your visit keep layers of clothing in your bag. I would suggest you to carry a sweatshirt or a jacket ready to be worn during the journey because the climate is pretty unpredictable.

  • Keep your valuables in a shoulder bag

I always prefer to carry a shoulder bag with me that I pack with essential items like my phone charger, my ID card (that is a must), electronics and any other valuables. The one advantage of carrying a shoulder bag is that you can have things ready at hand when you need them urgently. Things like a hand sanitizer, your tooth brush and tissues can make a place in your shoulder bag because you need them every now and then. So you must keep them at a place that is easily accessible and you would not need to open up your luggage every time.

  • Do not forget to keep some medicines

You must not forget to keep some medicines and preferably a small first aid box with you. Medicines for headache, cold and stomach must make it to your luggage. Change of climate can lead to ill health many a times and it is best to keep the cure at hand. One best enjoys the trip when one is in the best of health so take your best precautions.

Now some tips for the ladies who are planning to go out for holidaying and want to look the best in those stills they would capture amidst the beautiful landscapes or beaches.

  • Keep make up that will moisturize

During the journeys the skin tends to lose its moisture and becomes dry so I would suggest you to keep make up that are cream based and moisturize the skin well. A small bottle spray of rose water can help you freshen up your skin during the trip as and when you feel the need.

  • Look bright and beautiful

This time I suggest you to pack your luggage with bright and colorful clothes instead of boring blacks and whites. Neon colors are very much in vogue and colors are as much in trend. Holidays give me a much needed freedom of fashion from the boring office dress-code. So to make the most of the holidays look bright and beautiful.

  • Carry clothing that is comfortable and stylish at the same time

Cute maxi dresses, palazzo pants, shorts, jumpsuits, capris and tshirts are clothes that add to the style quotient and are super comfy at the same time. So pick what best suits you but ladies my advice is do not bear uncomfort at the cost of looking good because a happy face is one of the most important ingredients that goes into a great click.

  • My advice say no to heels

I would suggest you to never take high heels for the trip because they can be really difficult to carry. Flats in interesting designs and colors can add to your fashion statement too without disturbing you during those run for the train or the run just for fun times of the trip.

  • A cute handbag or a sling bag

Apart from holding your valuables and cosmetics a cute side bag or a hand bag can add to your look. Funky sling bags look cute and adorable. Make sure that the bag you are carrying has multiple departments for storage. Bags made of cloth that become dirty too fast are a big no-no especially during the monsoons; I would suggest you to carry a bag that is water proof.

  • Wherever you go the sunscreen must follow

Whether you are going for a trip to the serene Himalayas or to the south or to the north eastern states do not forget to carry the sun block with you. It will help shield your skin from the harsh rays of the sun that can damage the skin badly. Also tanning can make you look dull so take your precautions wisely!

  • Shades are a must

Besides glamming you up for the clicks your shades will protect your eyes from the sun and the dust. Especially if you are planning to go for the trip during the monsoons you must not forget to carry your eyewear as the chances of eye infections get higher during the rains.

  • Don’t leave those lovely Accessories behind

The cute little hat that you had never got a chance to wear, those lovely earrings you had once bought from the exhibition should surely get a place in your bag. They won’t occupy much space and besides that will help glam you up. While a hat can help you cover your mane that you could not wash in a hurry during the trip it also adds up to your look in a positive way besides protecting your face from the harsh sun rays on a sunny day out. If you like hair acessories they are a good option too.

Happy travelling to all holiday goers!
