Interesting. Though Gardening is not exactly my interest or hobby, Bottle gardens can be used as a beautiful drawing room objects. I have enough space  in my Hall. My wife loves them. I will look into it and i will try with a single bottle as a Pilot Project.

I have seen pictures of very meticulously created and extremely beautiful bottle gardens on the internet but never tried one myself. It needs safe place which I don't have at the moment and it also needs a lot of time and attention, also which I don't have now. BUt occasionally I just like to look at the pictures, and once my son grows up I may even think of making one. Thanks for the link though, it is really beautiful with good tips given.

I watched only an episode of it but liked it a lot. But due to time constraints I could not watch the series because when I have time to sit and watch something, my son settles himself onto my lap so for obvious reasons I cannot watch the Game of Thrones. BUt I am going to download the entire series and watch later. I really liked it although. I feel it deserves all the Emmys it has won.

No need for concern. Innocence in that age is quite common. These children feel that their Papa is the strongest of all. Once they gain age, this innocence disappears   That was not the point, but I wanted to say how a father or grandfather feels when he sees his loved ones going off temporarily or permanently. The 'empty-nester' feeling is not limited to mothers only. Just tell me how can one avoid such situations when one has to face situation like one I faced yesterday while seeing them off and came back home alone? As usual and as every parent or grand parent would be in the same situation. That's the reason i said above that there is no need for concern. That emptiness is bound to be there. Yes such feeling is not limited to mothers only. You are an example who felt this in the Delhi airport. So that proves that empty nest feeling is not limited to mothers alone.

Seeing intellectuals being hounded, causes a chill in my spine. This is the fate of those, who express their views on religious fanaticism . What a pathetic condition !!!

Blood group is not the only factor that contributes to mosquito bite,.

rambabu replied to the topic Spiritual or Religious.
The very fact that you believe in Puja and rituals as your heart says that you are both. People who are religious strictly bound by the norms of a particular puja, But you said you do not follow the set norms but do puja in your own way. The first part says you are religious. The latter part says that you are spiritual.

No, not an admixture. I am very clear about my religious as well as spiritual identity. I believe in God, pray and celebrate festivals but never follow them blindly so I am not truly religious person and on the other hand I am humane so spirituality is with me.

Game of Thrones the extremely popular Medieval British series has won 12 Emmy awards this year breaking all previous records. The series which is not being shown in India for obvious reasons of  bold scenes is a hit in almost all countries.. It has completed 5 seasons of 10 episodes each already now the 6th season which will be aired in May is eagerly awaited by all ! I have watched all the seasons so far, anybody else watch the series ? http://www.ew.com/article/2015/09/20/game-thrones-emmys

The first thing he did was to renovate his office in his city at my company's cost running into a few lakhs. His company provided car had its radial tires changed every three or four months, when such tires are rated to run for nearly fifty thousand plus kms.(Where did the tires go?)  His children used to go in the car on two hour drives one way to eat ice cream in a big city. He forced the company to depute him and his wife on a foreign tour naturally at company expense for a fortnight or more. WE all saw this happening but could not or would not do anything. All we did and am still doing is keep cribbing. He enjoyed his posting. I liked your suggestion of declaring cribbing as a national pastime. We see the same types everywhere in government and bureaucratic positions, of course there are few exceptions but most of them join the game quickly once they start getting these extra perks. A family friend was working in the Indian embassy of Japan and was in charge of cultural portfolio. Without exception, ALL the visiting Indian dignitaries and their entourage used to behave in such a weird manner, such as  demanding extra attention, shopping expensive items and gifts at the cost of the embassy, making the staff of the embassy run to and fro for petty things etc. without thinking of the image they created of themselves and their country on foreign soil. So I think this particular habit has infiltrated Indian genes so instead of making them change, we should declare cribbing as national sport and make the best of the situation. I guess thats all we can do because as citizens of this country there is very little we can do since in many ways we are powerless ! If you happen to see just an ordinary SP and his power-play one will understand how it works . It is disgusting to see the politicians being unaccountable and getting away with almost anything ! It is only now that there is some fear of the media expose but even there I am sure they do play one against the other and get them to report what they want ..Here in the south many of the popular channels are owned by the politicians !  The fear of media does loom over such people but only to a certain extent, because not just in South, but elsewhere too media is mostly owned by politicians and businessmen with strong influence over politics. And in any case, media can be exploited and twisted and turned to suit each one's own convenience, so not much they can do here!

However, since my son was born, we made it a habit to sleep under a mosquito net, at all times, better safe than sorry!

Researchers say that people with type O are twice as likely to get bitten as those with type B http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2998662/Why-people-attract-mosquitoes-Genes-blood-type-beer-drinking-blame.html I am listening first time about, I hear that mosquitoes attract to the smell of sweat. It's news to me. That's, in order to repel mosquitoes we should sleep in a place, where air flows freely. And there will not be sweating. Or one can sleep in an A/C room. If there is no A/C, one can sleep under a fan. Yes we have not any problem of mosquitoes at at place where air flow freely and under the fan.
