@Maverick,Atul,
Any other requirements which needs to be appended with what Gulshan has stated?.

How is a moderator different from a editor?.Please do throw some light on my question.
Hello Friends,
As requested by few members I am listing down the roles & responsibilities of Moderator and Editor.

Moderator:
* Approve/disapprove posts based on the personal judgment of the legitimacy and site policies
* Support forum activities includes clarifying the users' queries
* Help in improving the traffic rate by promptly responding to the posts made by the users
* You shall not be a moderator for more than two(2) forums and can be considered for more based on your performance.
* You shall not misuse/store/transfer/share any user information to third parties
* You shall not show any personal bias in approving/disapproving the posts
* You shall not post the topics/posts which will degrade the reputation of the site.
* You shall not post illegitimate/improper posts/topics
* You shall abide the rules/copy right laws of the site and other entities
* You shall be responsible for managing the forums/topics that you are assigned to.
* You shall not violate any of the site policies and/or rules that are being changed time to time.

Editor:
* You will see the articles in the My Pending tasks daily and you need to complete by 9AM in the next day morning. When you open the article in my pending tasks, you will see review form after the article text.
* You will be given not more than 20 articles every day for review.
* Review may need to spend 1-2 hour daily, as few articles easily found to be copied.
* There will be total 10 ratings, 10 is the highest. On an average 150-175 lines should form the 10 rating means you can give 1 rating for each 15 lines. You should decide the rating if the article is much better having good content, keywords, presentation etc.
* Please consider grammatical and other mistakes while giving rating.
* You need to give appropriate review comment in editor comments section. It should be brief and enough. If the article is approved add "Approved." text before your comment, else "Rejected.".
* After giving review comment click the save button to save review.

The Cash Credits will then be allotted by Maverick or Atul(myself) which depends on the Editor's rating and the presentation with keywords used.

Please post your view/suggestions.

An editor's job is to evaluate articles for publication in the site. The moderators are for monitoring various forums. There can be separate monitors for group discussions, qna, current affairs, general discussion etc. A moderator has to be more regular and punctual. An editor may delay approval of articles but a moderator must continuously attend to the forum that he is moderating.
