Secularism means "The view that religious considerations should be excluded from civil affairs or public education."

Nowadays it has been a tool to justify the wrongs and many are doing in the name of god.

Many Religious leader are now under sex scandals and also cause many problems.

The Actual meaning of secularism is having no partial feeling towards religions by the governments in civil affairs and public education. But in present days no government servant following secularism, they just go on their own way by showing partially towards their religion and caste. This is very bad to here.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race.

People should be given preference and not their caste or religion.
Many great works are being done by young Indians and they go unnoticed since they are being partially kept aside.

Secularism is the basis of our political system. This is basic to national integration. But this concept is often is misinterpreted and misused. Secularism has nothing to do with private life or personal religious beliefs of any individual. This only means that re4ligion must not play any part in politics, administration, education, jobs and conduct of our daily business.

But the politicians use the concept of secularism to hoodwink people. It is seen that the political leaders visit temples, mosques and shrines before campaigning for elections. Real secularism lies in their not visiting any such religious places on the eve of political campaigning but they do so to hoodwink the religious communities. The politicians are also charged with appeasement of certain communities in name of secularism. Recently, the ruling party came up with Sachar community report that deals with the minority community conditions and suggestions to improve. True secularism lies in assessing conditions of people without considering religion or community. But then the vote bank politics will not work.

I view that secularism has in fact become a tool to justify the wrongs.

Yes I think secularisim has become a tool to justify wrong things because,

1st of all under the umbrella of secularisim many people are doing illigal things and are being saved from the rain of juridiction.

secondly , the meaning of secularisim has been twisted and some antisocials are spreading their wings .

Thirdly , secularisim is giving every religion due respect but undr the roo of secularisim conversiom is being done. Poor people are given the greed of money and are motivated to change thier religion. That is very bad.
Over the years the meaning of the word Secularism has become confused and misunderstood. As well as changing its meaning, and being open to interpretation is really a problem faced in indian democracy.

And i agree with Deivigan

"Nowadays it has been a tool to justify the wrongs and many are doing in the name of god.

Many Religious leader are now under sex scandals and also cause many problems"

so religious thinking need to consider be revised

Once it was said that socialism is like a hat that has lost its shape because everyone wears it. This is true in India about secularism as well. There are so many brands of secularism. Even the extreme communal organizations proclaim themselves as genuine secularists and others as pseudo secularists. As secularism is a feature of Indian constitution, nobody can say that he is not a secular.

It is necessary to define secularism clearly. This is in fact a policy to separate politics and public life from religion, which is a private affair. any display of religious mark or bias in performance of government, business or professional duty should be considered as nonsecular. any other meaning only means that the concept of secularism is being diluted and used too mean anything for wrong doings and justifying malpractices and appeasement.

The word secular means not relating to religion or a religious body, or worldly rather than spiritual.

also Secularism, in its correct definition, is the belief that religion should not enter into the affairs of the state; it denies any form of religious faith. So Will we make concessions every now and then and therefore, undermining the principles of secularism for religious beliefs

According to the Preamble of the Constitution , India is a secular state. It means there will not be any practice of indifference towards religion.

But India had created its own brand of secularism. Hindus, Muslims, and Christians are governed by their own religious laws in India.

Now our discussion is "Secularism has become a tool to justify the wrongs?". I think it is a term that can be used by any one according to their desire. When a politician says he twist it into his arguments while a terrorist also twist in his way!So I think it is used by all to justify the wrong.

I will come up with more arguments later.

Secularism does not imply that there will not be separate personal law for different communities. The personal law of communities is only for matter of family, marriage, property, inheritance etc. But there is same law for common issues like criminal matters, commercial dealings etc.

Secularism implies that religion should not enter public life, professional and official duties. The state should be indifferent to religion and justice be done to all without any discrimination on basis of religion. Thus, the activity of politicians going to temple before election only for attracting voter sentiment is gross violation of secularism and results from faulty understanding of the term.
