Yes toady women are provided with many law, so that men will respect her but many of the laws are misused by women it self. We see daily that lots fake rape cases filed, fake molestation cases filed. There should be equal punishment to those who are misusing laws. Though some cases are right and quick action is taken against the culprits.

Good to have such laws for the protection of Women. Right now there are Laws like " Nirbhaya ". My question is  are they being strictly implemented ?

Frankly speaking, these laws which are built for women promote discrimination and depict that females are not very strong thereby, deterioting the morale. Also when such laws are made so as to protect women they are not implemented correctly leading to disorientation in the society.

We have an assumption that women are favoured whereas the real case is always different. No one who is innocent and needy regardless of the gender is helped rather, the ones who use power make use of the laws for their benefit.

Women are no more weaker section.. Now more and more are proving this fact. Chanda Kochhar MD, ICICI bank is just an example. Because of the man oriented society they are not conspicuously visible. But much has to be done. And the present woman protecting laws are just an eyewash laws.

Neha, these laws are indeed needed even today women have become more educated and emancipated. Yet, it is a fact that most women are not aware of these laws and hence they need to be made a part of the basic education for the girls. Although even though women are aware of these laws, and in any such eventuality as she may need to take help in accordance with them, she hardly gets support and the legal system in India is such that it is not really a job for a single woman to handle. Yet awareness is must and with awareness, there does comes a difference/.

Merelaw does not help. Men and women both need change attitude. Men don't fear assault or molestation. But women do. This is becasue of exaggerated stress on female virginity whereas nobody bothers about male virginity. Rather his ego gets a boost.

That too and also misplaced notions of family honour and prestige that would supposedly be damaged if the woman seeks legal help!

True. Mere laws would not help. Both men and women must come away from their obsolete societal values and adjust to the ever changing times.
