Everyone is advising Aamir that India is the safest place for him and his community, but when did he say he wants to leave the country. He only said that his wife expressed a feeling to this effect looking to the constant onslaught on the community in the past few months. He has said again that he will not leave the country. A forum member has denounced him by calling him a traitor. Height of tolerance  - on whose part?

People who are talking about said intolerance in India must first think about the situation of Kashmiri Pundits who are thrown out of Kashmir and are living as refugee in their own country. They forced to leave their native place, still they are not thinking of going out of the country.

Their entire lives in shambles and temples destroyed in the valley, do these psuedo secularists give a damn? they show how intolerant and communal they are by that very action of totally ignoring the pundits !

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Media is giving unnecessary importance to this issue. Amir is only a film actor. Every one know that Bollywood is an example of secularsism. If Amir is feeling that he is unsafe here than he is free to go where he like. Earlier one Music director quit India and blamed that Indian is not safe for him, but still he is eating what he is earning from India.

Now Aamir has changed his tune. He says that the press had distorted his views. He added further that neither his wife nor he had no intention to leave the country.

yes I read it, this eyewash is very common is celebraties, maine aisa to nahi kaha tha. I feel that reaction of Shive Saina is too much strong on this issue, but this group is silent on the statement of Mani Shankar.

True. Making a statement and then denying it later is a popular play politicians and celebrities often indulge in. But in Aamir's case, Press is responsible that twisted and mutilated Aamirs statement.

Media convert this minor issue into big one. I think that was general talk and views of his wife.

Amir Khan articulates the peculair Muslim mind set. The real reason for Muslims feeling uncomfortable is loss of political power. After all they ruled Hindus for 900 years and now they want secularism as per their defination. When Muslim ruled India where was secularism?

Amoir Khan is a typical Muslim who is ungrateful to the nation which gave him so much. Why can't Hindus boycott his films? Just imagine in case such a statement had been made in a Muslim country. The man would never be heard of again.

The very fact that Aamir's films are patronized by Hindus says that there is no other place anywhere, tolerance is prevalent  more than in India. This fact is not realized by Aamir. Now he changed his tune, saying that he never said that India is intolerant.

In view of the comments he is getting I think he must be feeling more unsafe than before. Hindus should boycott his movies so that his career is finished, He has been called a traitor by a member so he should be punished. If he was in a Muslim country he would never have been heard off again so he should get the same treatment here also. What else is in store for him ?

No matter how one looks at it, Aamir Khan has got the best anyone can get out of this country regardless of what religion he is born into,,,in fact his entire family has been given royal treatment by the nation which is reason enough for him to have  used some prudence while coming out with comments that ultimately don't mean anything to him personally because he has neither been harassed nor ill treated nor suffered in any way ! If he was a socially conscious person he should have done so long back when far worse things happened  ..

Aamir was the darling of the movie goers of this country till yesterday. By making controversial statement on intolerance, he invited trouble for himself.though, he disowned his earlier statements, still he remains in the eye of the storm by his own undoing.

Aamir is where he is because of his talent. It is not because Hindus patronized his movies. We are now breaking audiences into Hindus and Muslims. Talent will attract audiences irrespective of religion. Millions of Indians watch Hollywood movies. Should we start saying that Hindus are partronizing Christian makers and acted movies. Looks and sounds bizarre.

It is right religion of artists are not important for Indian audiences. Dalip Kumar Changed his name, audiences know it, but they like and love him because of his talent.
