I am not alone. The entire Nation understood  the Silence of this great Visionary, Modi. Those parties  who failed to  understand Modi's Silence, we're thrown in to the Garbage cans.

30% is whole nation!! when will you leave fascination for garbage cans?

Forget about Percentages. The Nation empowered Modi's Govt. to rule the country..  and the other Parties, especially the communal Congress was unceremoniously kicked out. That's the only thing that matters. Nothing else.

How can you forget percentage. This is important to understand real popularity of any leader or party as well as recognition by election commission. That is why percentages are displayed by election commission. It may be okay to support or oppose a leader or party but one has to be realistic and rationalist enough to see the actual position.  BJP led NDA could get power but it cannot be overlooked that this could be achieved by very heavy support in some states of North, West and central India, In many places, the NDA has no presence. The significance of percentage is important as even a small decline in  percentage can reduce many seats.

BJP as of now has support base in some states only but sadly Congress is losing even the support base it had earlier and this support has to shift somewhere else..

Congress party has made minority card an election business to be used and packed away after which it went about with its own divide and rule policy, no wonder the party is what it is today because of its own arrogance and wrong priorities. It is also something from which BJP can learn , s that it does ot follow the same route in the future !

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Percentages are important in a proportional system of representation like in Italy. In the westminister model which we follow percentages are only of academic interest and in fact irrelevent.

Percentage of voters, dispersion of party supporters on geographical basis and degree of commitment to party are very relevant in forecasting election results. High percentage is a morale booster to a political party. In last elections, BSP could not get even a single seat in Lok Sabha but there was increase in votes- dispersed all over India. This fact is relevant to recognition of the party at national level. Moreover, percentage of votes indicates future prospects of a party. To elucidate, BJP is not likely to win good number of seats in election to the assembly of five states but even then if there is increase in votes, the party may hope for better scope in future.

Vote share is important because at some stage it gets converted into number of seats. In the 2014 elections BJP has increased both vote share and number of seats in the south. In 2009 it had contested in more than 100 seats and managed to win only 19 ( 20%or less ) but n 2014 it contested only in 66 seats but won 21 ( around 30%) so it has been bettering its performance with each election..In fact it gained quite a bit Kerala and AP and bettered its performance in Karnataka where it always has had a presence. In fact even in Tamilnadu it has seen an increase in vote share ..
