Just hoping that Mahaghatbandhan does not work out, also I am expecting a fall out in Karnataka.

One action which would have perhaps earned the praise of all the Indian's was the divestment or shut off of PSU's which are running in huge losses from years together. Probably that was not done because the voters were there in the Companies as employees and that may not go down well with them.

However in the larger interest of nation that move could have increased the economic growth forecast in the long run by reducing the debt of government and indirectly helping growth. Air India, BSNL, MTNL, Hindustan Photo films manufacturing Co. Ltd, Steel Authority of India Limited, etc.

Now there seems to be an issue coming up with the Statue of Unity. while the government was thinking of a seaplane service near Statue of Unity, it has sought to relocate the Crocodiles in the 2 Ponds near to the Statue of Unity for seaplane landing.

However, an official of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd and Director of Community Science Centre are of the opinion that it will be dangerous for the Crocodiles to relocate them into the Dam as it will not enable them to have some land space for nesting and also they claim that it is against the principles of Wildlife Protection Act. They also said that the government could have build another small pond for seaplane landing. Here is the link

Introduction of seaplane services would boost the tourism industry. But its a great risk trying to relocate the crocodiles, especially considering the fact that those species of crocodiles are an endangered species. Relocating them to artificial ponds may affect their population.

I too was of the same opinion. Wonder why was it hard to create another pond for seaplanes rather than relocating 400 odd crocodiles!

That would probably save a lot of hard earned money of the tax payers but the problem is that Indian politicians have not enough courage or will power to do this. There is no need for government to enter into the business which the private sector can manage lot more easily and at a lesser cost.

Most of the government companies are running at loos. All state roadways are white elephants but government is wasting money on it. Private transported can give service in much less cost.

In Karnataka , the KSRTC bus service has been doing very well , showing profit since a long time now ...but generally the state owned enterprises become the politicians' private property

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

There are a lot of things that can be privatised except for national interests segments such as defense, security, etc.

Let me add, defense, health infrastructure and education beside policing we should leave everything else to private sector
