There is a move at Agra to promote electric crematorium in order to save trees. I may add that eminent enlightened citizens choose this. Ram Singh, founder of Shaheed Smarak, a Kala pani prisoner, was also cremated in electric crematorium.

One electric crematorium cannot be used in whole state of Kerala. This may be in a city only.

Deatils are not needed. A state is big area. Obviously just one crematorium cannot serve whole state. I said just this simple thing. Thus the one at thaicud could be only for Trivendrum.

Yes, for Trivandrum city, Thaucaud only. Most recently, for one of the close relatives, cremation was done there as there was not sufficient space here. It's 25 kms away from our place. Since city homes are not spacious, it's not possible to do cremation at homes. So, all prefer to do so. Ladies won't go there. Rituals will be conducted there and it's done within minutes. But still here, if people have sufficient space/land, they will do at home itself

People are turning to electric cremation and some more are willing but for two problems, one the people in society and the other- shortage of power, although it takes a few minutes for the whole process but the wait for electric is long.Availability of staff is another problem.

Electric cremation is the quick and pollution free process. But some people do not believe in this process as it is performed without any rituals and mantras. According to hindus religion the dead body must be burnt with some rituals and chanting.
Yes in hindu religion there is a belief that skull must break so the spirit go to the heaven. In electric cremation it is not possible.
