Modi is great administrator but not a good leader. He does not possess the right attitude to lead a state / country.

Well, this seems to be the common consensus of a handful few only! Based on what, maybe you could care to explain!

"I am free of all prejudice. I hate everyone equally."
- W. C. Fields :)

The same Shiv sena shouted at the top of its voice once, ‘Maharashtra is for Marathis’. What it could to for Marathis for pilgrims stranded in Kedarnath ? What was branded as a mere ‘regional’ party, Telugu desam party came forward and rescued by airlifting all including Maharastrians from Dehradun to Delhi AP Bhawan and to Hyderabad to Mumbai.
Shivsena hasn’t got any right to talk about Modi’s regionalism.

This post looks like a serious case of lack of information on rescue efforts in Uttarakhand. Do you mean to say the state govt of Maharashtra did not even raise a finger to attempt to rescue its own residents. Please do go through all the news links available before making such statements. Agreed Shiv sena might playing up on regionalism more than any other party, but that does not mean you can comment on general lack of apathy in the rescue efforts! And we have already seen the antics of AP politicians in Dehradun airport where they literally started fisticuffs to take credit for doing any work at all!

Did I say Maharashtrian government did not do anything for its stranded pilgrims ? What I said was Shiv sena did not do anything..that Telugu desam has not shown any discrimination in lending its helping hand to the stranded people. And regarding the shameful act of fist fights in the Dehradun airport I'm well aware and condemned it. . What I said was fully based on information gathered from different channels and news papers. The question of not having information pertaining to rescue operations will not apply to me however.
Uttarakhand disaster was really a mater of concern to all. It is natural that state governments care more about their own regional population. In fact, they are answerable more to their own state residents. We should not make an issue of this. Also, I feel that our comments should not be personal against anybody. In some cases, a member may not be well informed or there could be confusion. It is necessary to be polite even in such cases. One may give his own version and facts as understood by him without adversely commenting against other.

Actually Narendra Modi is best person for PM candidate but on this election either BJP will be on Top otherwise it may be total failure too.

I don't see any thing wrong if he is trying to do something for people of his state, Shivsena should instead begin something similar. If every state chief minister rescue people from his own state, it will help the cause.

I agree. Modi is helping pilgrims of his own state but he is not harming any one. This in sharp contrast to inimical attitude of Shiva Sena to outsiders- Tamil, Bihari, U.P.

This attitude of Modi is not fair. It is against humanness. I
I think he should get one chance to see something new . Everyone has some weakness but Narendra Modi has lot of strong points instead of one weak point .

Who will give Modi a chance. He may get a chance if BJP wins sufficient seats to form a government on its own or at the most with two allies- shiva Sena and Akali Dal. If they need more allies, Modi's selection is ruled out.

Secondly, there is another paradox. Many support Modi but not BJP. Swami Ramdev has said that he supports Modi but this does not mean supporting BJP. Now what to make out of such support. If you support Modi only or his close group but oppose other BJP candidates, how will Modi be P.M.

I agree with you. Modi should get full or majority support from BJP. Mere idolizing Modi sans party support will not make him a PM.

I think we should look at people's reaction more on such matters as they are the deciding factor in the end. Members of different parties would sing their own song and carry their party tines which would show in form of election results in the end. Tomorrow they may start a campaign in favor of Nitish Kumar who is as good an able administrator but we need enough votes to reach to PM's post for any party or alliance. Unfortunately there is no party or alliance in sight right now.

BJP is the principal opposition party.. so discontent against present ruling party will benefit BJP most. It is true that people are ultimate deciding factor. But organization also matters. BJP has no organization in many states and so even if this party does its best, this will be only in states where they have organizational support. .In most of South Indian states, North East, West Bengal- BJP is not likely to get many seats in view of no or less organization. Hence they will need support of other parties. Prime minister will of course be of BJP if alternative government is formed. But allies will also have a voice in selection of P.M. Modi is not favorite in Non BJP potential allies.
