Those who are ever eager to support so called peoples movements that are nothing but unruly mobs should for a moment see the ugly side of 'popular mobs' in Egypt indulging in sexual assault and rape. It goes without saying that crowds gathering is no substitute of orderly democracy.

Mobs and crowds behave erratically, in the absence of a solid leadership. Its the time for antisocial elements to join such movements. Mahatma led many such movements. Because of his charismatic leadership evil things did not happen.

This is right. Mahatma Gandhi was a unique leader. Once a crowd became violent at Chauri Chaura. Then he withdrew the agitation.

Its difficult even to the strongest governments to stop agitations and movements marked by discipline.

I agree. Now antisocial elements, most probably from the ruling party itself enter the movements to create a negative picture of the movement. And create a ground for firing and lathi charging with the pretext of dismissing the crowds for the law enforcing authorities. Which is why a good leadership is necessary, though its difficult to get a leader of that stature in the present days.

Political parties have gone down so low that to sabotage a good cause they can do anything to fail a good movement.

Price. Question of price. Why you segregate politicos only. What about the slogan chanters, who are picked from the people? In this respect both politicos and people are same. Pay the right price , not only Politicos, people also sell their mothers. The more the price, more louder the slogan, “Down Down.”

And who pays them, is it you or me? It is the so called politico lobby who has money to pay them to go all out sabotage a good cause.
I agree to that part of 'pay them the right price' but by whom? Who has th interest to pay them, certainly not ordinary citizens but vested interests.

How the politicos are paying ? From their pocket? Party funds given by those people who expect favours from the ruling party or those are likely to rule in the near future. Names may be different. But the origin of evil is People.
