It is a known fact that most political parties demand crores of rupees for nomination in parliamentary constituency. Now some one has pointed out that Rajya Sabha membership is for Rs. 100 crore. Everything in India has a price. A Rajya Sabha MP has same privileges as Lok Sabha member. Moreover his tenure is longer viz. six years instead of five years. so there is no reason why price tag for Rajya Sabha should not be more. Also there is no guarantee that a candidate for Lok Sabha will win despite heavy expenses whereas A Rajys Sabha candidate has greater assurance.

This is vicious circle. Political party gets the money as donation. Then the Rajya Sabha member will indulge in corruption so that he may recover the Rs. 100 crore and earn something in addition. This is like investment in business. The political party will use that money to bribe and influence voters.

Know it is short cut to get entry in parliament. With winning single election Manmohan singh is Pm for 10 years. He is member Rajya Sabha.
And we still are required to have faith in our politicians, they are not at all trustworthy but rotten businessmen from every angle. There is no trick of the trade they do not apply to let citizens down of our country.

It's an undeniable fact that there exist "Deals" for everything. Pay a sum. Get whatever you want. And earn 10 times more than what you invested.

I would not mind 10 times but they earn much more against their investment. Their earning goes in multiple of 100s or even more.
