There is a Bedia community that allows the women to trade sex. The link says that this community is in Rajasthan. But we have a colony of this community at Agra near Taj Mahal. Many of Bedia community are working in Mumbai dance bars.

I know this tribe originates fro Dhoulpur area of Raj which is closed to Agra. But this tribe is not limited to Agra but scattered all over the places. People who know about this tribe go to visit areas of this tribe as they are welcome there and stay in their homes.

They are nomads. They shift from place to place in search of customers especially by the sides of Highways catering to the needs of truck drivers.

Yes they like to live nearby highways. Truck drivers are principal customer of this tribes.

The good thing about them is their unshakable faith on their "Khandani Dhanda."

It is illegal but government is doing noting to stop it.

Prostitution as such is not illegal. But soliciting is illegal. In this connection, the relevant Act is Prevention of illegal trafficking in women.Forcing women in sex trade, advertising and soliciting are illegal.

There is difference between what is illegal and what is immoral. Also law only works against middlemen. If two adults have some relation and this is for cash payment, nobody can know actual fact as there is no middleman. The woman will not announce that she got money for sex.

Actually nothing is bad as long as there is no coercion or deceit.

I think prostitution and that too under the age of 18 is not backed by law, though they seems to hide behind customs most of these cases are done behind the prying eyes of laws,
