An Indian diplomat has been maltreated in U.S.A. There is wide spread protest and anger agaist racist and uncilvilized behavior. India also takes some retaliatory steps.

While expressing my anger towards the uncivilized USA, I'm glad that India retaliated with the same coin. All the employees of American embassy were put under scanner. Government has demolished the safety barricades near the American embassy yesterday. Diplomats special passes were withdrawn. Good to know we are learning lessons.

Step by step. Our resentment has been made visible in no uncertain terms. We have to wait till the reactions of the USA. It's a matter of the country and hastiness may prove counter productive.

Our attitude has changed now with this unsavory incident. Unlike earlier days instead of expressing our resentment mildly, we retaliated in action. This should act as an eye opener to the Americans

I think we have to blame the central leadership for this more than anything ! The foreign policy is a total failure since the past ten years and they have been handling things so badly that USA has lost respect for this countrys politicians.The way we treat the terrorists with kid gloves and the statements that comes out of foreign minister ,who only knows to speak arrogantly to the Indian media, is shameful! He has been blundeting away and no wonder America takes our politicians and bureaucrats for granted ! Now suddenly they think that they can show their power after the deed is done and let us hope this does not backfire on us !

You are correct. Moreover Indians are progressing faster than the foreigners. Many Indians are amongst the top 10 rich people in America. Americans are lagging behind. Furthermore, India is considered as one of the terrorist countries in the world. FBI suspects every Indians. Adhere to this, the Hindu culture is beyond their understanding. They still have wrong notion about India and Indians.

Now Mayawati is trying to give this issue a communal colour! :blink: Just because Ms. Khobragade is from scheduled community, she feels that she is being such inhuman treatment quite forgetting that even ex-president Abdul Kalam was treated insultingly by US officials and the government did not raise even a finger! Compared to him, Meera Shankar etc. Ms. Khobragade is getting much more support from our govt. so why is Mayawati making such comments? :blink:
