Coffee is a stimulant. Memory improved by using coffee is limited to 24 hours only. For a lasting way of boosting memory is Yoga and meditation.
Is this backed by any scientific and medical research, as I have heard caffeine elements are bad for some health reasons.

I have given many exams and work really very hard without taking any tea or coffee. Yet I sometimes prefer strong black tea or café chino Irish flavour.

Till now, I knew Caffeine does more bad to health than good, but this is very useful information. Can we give coffee and tea to small kids obviously to boost their memory too??

No. You should not give coffee to children, Caffeine can make your little one jittery and can interfere with sleep and mood and might even give her a headache or upset stomach.

Yes ' in some way' its helpful. Not in a full way to boost your memory. The only time tested way to boost memory in full way is Meditation and some forms of Yoga asanas.

As the technology advances more and more revelations surface up. Yesterday's truth becomes today's obsolete finding.
