A certain amount of Sunlight is required even for newborn babies and most paediatricians advise mothers to take them out during early morning hours when the sunlight is not harsh...Everything that nature has provided is good for us like sunlight, fresh air ..

Yes newborn babies should be exposed to sunlight in a limited manner. They should be exposed before the intensity of UV radiation starts in the morning hours.

True. Besides health benifts of sunlight , it has the utilitarian qualities as a Solar energy source. In the present situation conventional energy sources are dwindling at a faster pace. Which is why generating solar power has become the most important factor in the agendas of the countries all over the world.

Vitamin D can be synthesized in the skin through a photosynthetic reaction triggered by exposure to UVB radiation from the sunlight.

Born to express, not to impress.

I think UV radiation causes cancer to the skin.
Over exposure to sun could be harmful. But a limited sun exposure is a rich source of vitamin D. It is the only source of vitamin D as not many food item contains vitamin D.
