There is a tendency to seek governors' resignation when the party in power at center changes. It may be natural desire of party in power at the center to seek change. But what is the constitutional propriety. Should a governor not be allowed to complete the tenure in accordance with constitution. Also would it not be proper to amend law so as the governor's tenure ends with change in central govt.

The tenure of Governors should be coterminus with that of the Central Government. If same party comes to power it can reappoint the governors they want.
