Most of these news are from news traders and most of time discussion are so tiring that one gets headache from it, most of time I see dd news, loksabha tv and rajya sabha tv.

I too felt the same after going through the link...It again depends on what you are watching, a scary or horifying movie may increase your heartbeat but watching something without actually absorbing it even for 4 hours may not have any effect. The only negative impact I can think of is the level of inactivity while watching TV continuously for 3 or more hours which may be bad for our system!

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

The only plausible reason I see here is that watching TV for straight 3-4 hours or more leads to inactivity and people when watching TV for such a long time usually sit sloppily with shoulders hunched and much on oily snacks while doing so. That and lack of exercise does tend to increase blood pressure, weight gain etc. and thus short lifespan. As to the authenticity of study, that does leave some questions unanswered.

Watching a tensed match if some one is fan of any particular game or watching daily soaps which gives so much tension and negativity and watching tv for long hours gives way to idleness and it leads to bad fooding habits. All these can be problem in long run.
