Kussa Kursi ka- and- Andhi-  are among banned movies. I saw these two movies and found both entertaining and nice. Kissa Kursi ka is an artistic movie and uses symbolism. Just one woman starred by Shabana Azami-  represents entire people (Janata). Many movies are banned just because those in power dislike these for one or another reason. Some like 'water' are banned because of opposition by religious groups .

Andhi relates to life of former prime minister and banned by Congress if I am not absolutely sure of this, in the first place why create such movies that would create such confusions why not create on simple issues like farmer or any other issues, no one wants to be in a state of jungle raj while allowing such movies.

In India the censor Board is not free from political interventions and the influential Producers' Guild. Unable to withstand these pressures many sincere Censor Board officials were forced to relinquish their posts

Yes if they find something wrong about their self or any controversial thing, they ban the movie even if it is having good potential.

Nobody can ban a picture after the approval of The Censor Board. But the members of Censor Board are pressurized by the politicians and influential Producers' Guild.
