Negative thoughts are heavy, compulsive and pervasive, leading to weak memory, poor decision-making skills, and lack of enthusiasm. Our vital energy (prana) gets trapped in our conflicting belief and emotional patterns, and the more the prana gets stuck, the less we have at our disposal. How can yoga help release the stuck energy and overcome this kind of exhaustion? Such negative thoughts/emotional patterns could precipitate illnesses in due course, if not dealt with appropriately.

A few simple breathing techniques coupled with yoga, can flush out tiredness and infuse new energy into the body.

Any type of physical exercise will keep you healthy. We can't say that those who perform Yoga re the healthiest.  Yoga is just one type of exercise just as Ayurveda is one type of medicine system. It actually depends on an individual. He may choose any as suits him. These days, tyouth are more attracted to Gym.

I too feel that physical activity is more important , be it walking, jogging, going to the gym, gym or even doing the housework like sweeping and cleaning the house, washing clothes including yoga help in maintaining ourselves and keeping fit ! Old timers did not do yoga or go to a gym or have any routine for exercise because they worked hard and were busy with physical activities all through the day besides eating sensibly !

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

There is a difference between Physical exercise and Yoga. Physical exercise build your physical features like stamina and endurance. Whereas  Yoga is a holistic therapy which takes care of both physical and mental health.

But the obsevance of Yoga Day reduced this to simply physical exercise. There was no stress on 'holistic therapy'. I don't tgink many will understand this as anything except a physical exercise system.

True. Many cannot distinguish between Physical exercise and Yoga. Holistic living embraces all the aspects related to humans that enables the life to keep it in Balance.

Yoga and physical exercise are different. By doing physical exercise we make our physical body strong, our internal body parts can be strengthen by doing yoga. If we take our physical body as hardware and internal parts as mind, heart, digestive system as software, then physical exercise will make our hardware strong, and to make our software strong we have to do yoga.
