Its an astonishing news. More astonishing is that Santa and Banta are still active, though with changed name Jugli Shugli.

Honourable Supreme Court has accepted this signifies that the case has merit and let us wait for the verdict though in reality such jokes are now things of past and at one time there is significance hilarious elements there now it is same as elephant and ant jokes, slowly losing its charm.

Now we have  Rahul and   Modi jokes. Lalu jokes are seeing a revival. Politicians have taken over comedy also.

Politicians were always known for their clownish activities. The difference is  these political clowns instead of making us laugh, make us weep. They are neither politicians nor clowns.

Sardar Jokes were made famous and popular by Sardar Kushwant Singh, himself a Sardar. Sardars equally relished these Jokes.

Sardar Khushwant Singh never wrote a joke himself but collected them from different sources and published in his own name. However, Sardar is a community which enjoyed cracking jokes on themselves and never felt bad about them.

You are right. Khushwant Singh compiled sardar jokes from different authors. Sardars never felt insulted due to Jokes written on them. This is what Khushwant says, Sardars have the ability to laugh at themselves.
