SAARC loosing significance
in Daily Dose

SAARC(South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) was established with aim of promoting peace and cooperation in South Asian region. As per the recent events it seems that SAARC Is loosing its significance. Nepal is showing it is bending more towards China and so is Maldives and Sri Lanka. India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are not having good times with Pakistan. The South Asian region seems to be greatly disturbed era. The countries need to explore ways to achieve peace in the region.

    South Asia which once boasted of coordination and stability has become very unstable due to recent developments in the region.

    The very fact that the equations are changing shows that what worked two decades ago , has lost it's validity and needs to be looked into and evaluated depending on the present day situation.

    When most of nation of South Asia is in influence of China than SAARC is meaning less.

    Very relevant topic. It needs to be seen whether any change in this association can happen. With the power concentrated in the hands of China it does not look possible. It is exercising its power to support terror Nations like Pakistan & surrounding India on the other hand. Also currently there is high alert in India as Terror forces can strike through sea & already 3 places in J&K have been occupied by the Lashkar e Taiba to effect this plan. SAARC indeed has lost its significance & edge. It is just another association now which fights for power.

    Life is like a boat in a sea, there is a lot to learn, so never close your mind to your limited experiences!

    We need new initiatives and opportunities to form better ties and partnerships with each country and efforts are being put in this direction. Hopefully there will be more stability and harmony everywhere.

    That is the reason why Mr Modi is being a part of as many international summits as possible to bring India to global view. Its a nice strategy to bring India to world & develop both India & partner other Countries to develop situation in world. Like the France Summit where reduction in Co2 emissions through renewable sources promotion was done.

    Life is like a boat in a sea, there is a lot to learn, so never close your mind to your limited experiences!

    Condition of SAARC is like Non alliance movement. China is surrounding India from all direction. I read before some days that China is constructing city in Pakistan for 5 Laks Chines.
