I agree with you, this is a good point, moderators should draw the point system from such posts then the issue can be solved, because it is unnecessary giving loads of points to everyone, or these type of posts should not be in forums.[/quote]

Thank you aastha for suuporting my view. Hope Maverick will implement this point system soon.

I don't have any reservation for that. As I told, Point is secondary thing. Even if no points , it is fine.

Point should be given only those posts which are contributing information. I request to the moderators just check how many threads are providing useful contribution. Only those threads should be eligible for the points.

Friends !Can you mention other threads which are not providing any useful information?

Yes. Lot of games are going on. May be that also. But from games we are making fun. But from that threads, what is the use ??

Don't take my view in the negative sense

We are living in the era where Fun is having more weightage than the Worship. That is what I can say. What else..!!

Ofcourse Worship and fun are complete different things. Everyone like fun but some may not like worship. They just believe themselves.

There is nothing wrong with mantras or any hymns. National anthem is also good. But there will be no use in everybody daily writing this in the forum. If this is accepted, there will be many threads for writing "vande mataram', various aarties, hymns etc.
Secondly, writing the same thing amounts to 'copying'. Copy and paste are prohibited.

I agree with Gulshan. My focus here is about the copy paste process and getting points.I understand the importance of mantra.
Rakesh suggestion is good, but i think there will be technical difficulty. Also it is not so practical to judge the importance of the forum and deciding the points. In my opinion the best thing to do is that members must write something about the mantra along with it,so that there is some contribution.
Now Kumaresh has told some scientific application of mantras. He can write about it in the forum of mantras along with the chanting of mantras. So it would become a useful thread to everyone.
Just like that anyone writing in such thread has to contribute something more about the mantras along with the three times chanting.I believe this will be good for everyone. You can get points and also it becomes a useful thread.
I do not think those who float such threads and participate in them do so for bagging points. It is a forum after all and if some members find such exercises spritually elevating what is the harm in them!We can not and should not have two standards to judge the usefulness of any topic raised in a thread. There are topics galore which I find awfully short of standard and should not be there frankly.
Not every thread discussed in the forum is useful to the site or anybody. Now everybody are living in this internet world. They don't spend much time for praying. In my view, this can be used as a tool for praying.

If someone thinks that these are only for the sake of points, then there are so many ways to get points in this site without adding any value.

Let the moderators think about the point system again and find out whether each point earned by the member has some value in it and change the points system.

I hadn't entered any post in that manthra or sloka till today because my religious belief does not allow me to do so.I was worried to see many of them recently. As Gulshan said it is just point creating not creative to forums.Actually the games and manthras had made the discussion forum to deviate from its purpose.
