I have read these kind of rich beggars in Mumbai years ago. I think that is the easiest job without any hard work. We should never encourage these people.

I never give money to these beggars . I prefer to give them food items..

Thanks for sharing some facts about beggar. offering money is not good at all as they may become lazy even if capacity for earning is there. I think clothes and food items are good things to donate. I often given money for old beggar with the intention that at that age they cannt do any work to earn money. After seeing the movie where children are intention blinded for earning money i stop giving money to handicapped and blind children.
It they are used to get money easily just by begging then it is impossible for them to change later, the result is born of theives..

I learn that in Banglore beggars are not allowed to beg on streets instead they are admitted to Ashrams. This should be adopted in all the cities in India.
