A dosa would cost Rs 224 in 2017!The cost of a masala dosa in 1987 was Rs 3.50. In 1997, it costed Rs 14. If the rise in prices continues at the same rate, the dosa would cost Rs 224 in 2017. Similarly, the cost of a Colgate toothpaste in 1987 was Rs 8.05. It was Rs 18.90 in 1997.

    My goodness ! In another 7 years, will a dosa cost Rs.224? Iam fearing about the prices of petrol,diesel and LPG which is increasing frequently.

    Thats the result of inflation on daily needs. At present, we are having the cost of the regular vegetables around Rs.45
    One year back, it was around Rs.15
    See the difference..... !!
    So anything might be possible. :)

    I remember my coworker's calculation two years ago.He told he will have a salary over one lakh per month at his retiring time comparing his father's salary when entered in service and when returned.
