Neetu.. would you not mind to provide us with the tips to help retain the moist in the skin..... tips for the kids too.. :) ;)

Aloe Vera: Cut an aloe vera leaf and squeeze the juice onto the affected area. The juice will form a thin bandage over the area. Alternatively, you can peel the leaf, pulverize it and apply the pulp to the area. Use aloe vera gel if you are unable to obtain fresh aloe vera. Aloe vera stops the itching and burning that accompanies skin rashes. This is one of the most well known home remedies for skin rash.
Baking powder: Apply baking powder to the areas affected by the rash. This would provide effective relief from itching.
Witch Hazel: Simmer an ounce of fresh witch hazel bark in one pint of water. Leave this mixture for ten minutes. Strain and cool and then apply it with a clean cloth. Leave it on the skin for about half an hour. Witch hazel acts as an astringent that relieves the itchiness and is also beneficial for treating serious skin problems like eczema and psoriasis.
Herbal poultice: Make a puree out of yellow dock root, dandelion root and chaparral. Add some water to this. Put this paste directly on the affected area and cover with either some cheesecloth or a bandage. Repeat this bandage and poultice several times a day.
Olive oil: Olive oil is soothing and should be applied directly to the rash. Other oils that help to combat skin rash are Vitamin E oil, cod liver oil and aloe vera gel.
Soak a cloth in calcium water or comfrey tea and apply it to the rash. This helps to soothe the skin.
Vitamin C: Vitamin C has antioxidant properties which help in combating the rash. Include foods that have vitamin C in them into your diet.
Oatmeal: Oatmeal is also among the well known home remedies for skin rash. An oatmeal bath will give you instant relief from itching and burning that a skin rash brings along with it. After several oatmeal baths, you will notice the rash beginning to disappear. You can also pour 1or 2 cups of uncooked oatmeal into your bathtub and soak in it for about 15 minutes.
Chamomile has anti inflammatory properties which help to reduce inflammation. You can use this in tea and wash the affected area with the mixture.
These are some of the home remedies for skin rash.
