There will be restrictions on cars in Beijing. The municipal corporation will restrict new cars and encourage use of buses.

I dont know about Beijing however i know about Singapore and the usage of cars increased in huge amount from 2% to 5% and as a result there are lots of traffic jam in highways and so most of prefer to use buses and even the government's view is that there will be a reduction in traffic jam and time consuming

I think this is a very good move and other countries also should follow this method... This decreased pollution..and usage of fuel too... :)

Thanks 'n' Regards,

@deepti

I accept with your views and also we can also be on safer side and reduce some accidents. Accidents occur mainly due to rash driving.

I think, the same should be done in India too, in order to prevent any such problem in the near future. It is a must for metro cities at least.
Well though the views shared by Deepti and Devigan are quiet good and are obvious..But complete ban can cause problem in need of emergency ...

@ Rajini

There is always an exception in case of emergency we can accept and everyone cannot have emergency at the same point of time. The main drawback of traffic jam is we are used to go to any place or function at the neck of the moment and not early and as a result we drive faster and some times accidents occur

If the bus service is efficient, even in emergency you will not face problem. secondly, the personal cars are to be discouraged. In medical emergency, you may use ambulance. Also taxis are not discouraged. Only private cars are to be discouraged.

I accept to the views of gulshan and it also has some valid and strong points and we can also reduce fuel usage and it can save billions and billions of money and in India only the fuel consumption is higher and also the pollution rate is also high.
