What should we do to protect children from child abuse?

Middle aged US doctor found guilty of molesting small children. In India also children are subjected to child-abuse. However most of the cases do not come to light.

What should be done to protect children from suspected child abuse?

First things first, parents should educate their young ones in this regard. Schools should also come forward. Some method need to be devised in order to make the children know what it is and what to do or how to react when they face it. Taking action against the culprits comes next as prevention is always better than cure.

Children should be cautioned against unwelcome touch by any one and asked to report it. Normally, children understand that there is some thing wrong with touch but they do not disclose. More friendly and open talk by parents will solve the issue. The punishment for molesting children should be stricter. This is more heinous than molesting adults.
