I am noit much aware of the local conditions in West Bengal and Kerala. The left front has been in power in West Bengal for a very unusually long period. Perhaps, people may prefer change by giving a chance to Trinmool Congress. The various scams and vulnerablity of UPA at center that includes Congress and Trinmool both go in favor of left front. However, local conditions could outweigh. As reagards Kerala, incumbancy factor goes against left but this trend may be reversed as many Congress and allied parties leaders are involved in scams and are vulnerable.

Budhdeva Bhattacharya has commented that one needs sense of responsibility to run a government. The way Railways are being run is not a way to run Government. Mamata Banerjee has promised manyprojects for Westr Bengal without indicating provision of funds or project reports.

I think this time in Bengal TMC is going to come in power under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee and it has been a long time the CPIM is ruling over the state. The CPIM has also done satisfactoriy well ruling over the state for a long time bu I personally think now its the time to look for a change and let's see how others do the job...
Although there is a gut feeling that Trinmool congress will replace the exceptionally long rule by left front, Prakash Karat feels that Left front has regained lost ground and will win in Kerala and West Bengal. The outcome of elections in West Bengal and Kerala will also affect the role of left in national politics.

Mamata Banerjee began her campaign in Kolkata. she got a warriors welcome.

It is also reported that Mamata is trying to shed he anti industry image and Left is concentration on rural sectors. Both are playing safe.

according to a survey, AIDMK alliance will have an edge over rivals but no party or group will get clear majority in Tamilnadu.

although Vaiko opted out from AIADMK, the AIADMK alliance has a great chance of winning the elections.
Adwani, Sushma and Modi are campaigning in Tamilnadu. It appears that the fight by BJP is only token. Main contest is between AIADM and DMK led alliances.

The chances of AIADMK winning the elections are high. But it is funny to listen to the promises of both DMK and AIDMK. It is like" Ek se badkar Ek".
