Reiki- meditation or medical science

In all kins of healing system, you need to take some medicines, do exercise or follow certain directions of medical attendants. Human body has also self healing inbuilt system better called immune system.

Reiki is a Japanese system that has several stages of experts. Some can cure self and others. Some may cure from a distance. Some may teach also. There is no system of education as for other medical systems. Now the issue is whether Reiki is actially a genuine medical system or simply a meditation routine and may some times pretend to cure by giving psychological affect or even claim for treatment may be made even though patient gets recovered through inbuilt immunity system.

This is a Japanese system and it is claimed that treatment is through palm.

    I have no direct experience- Kumaresh. But one of my friend says that he knows reiki. This is learnt only from some one who is considered capable to teach. He claims to have treated another person, who is also known to me. He suffered from some depression.

    I do not know whether this is some sort of Yoga or this is suitable in pascho cases or also in cases like diabetes or cancer. I doubt whether mere touch can cure diseases. The mental disorder could be probably treated by psychological affect. There is also something called faith healing. If you believe you are getting okay, you will. Jesus Christ also cured many by mere touch. The Christians offer prayer for curing people. some common diseases are self cured within 2 or 3 days automatically.

    Reiki is not very common. There are no practioners like other system. I once came across an advertisement by a Reiki expert living nearby my house.
