Do women enjoy equal rights in Indian society?

    Debateable topic. The position of womens' rights has vastly improved over the years, and I think from a legal view point women do enjoy equal rights. But in a social scenario that's not always the case.

    Nowadays, Women and Men treated equal.Women enjoy equal rights,But Men and Women do not have equal rights in many different things(in Indian Society).

    Women has got the equal rights, but not all women enjoy, as some are denied of their rights in backward classes

    up to most of the extent the women are free in India to choose their occupation,life partner and study stream but their is lack of their protectiveness.This is the main concerning issue except all.Except protective than man women have equal rights in india

    Women have equal rights to that of men but still they couldn't enjoy their rights due to a number of reasons.

    Women have now better status than men but they still do not enjoy equal status. Men do not prefer to marry women earning more than them or in a higher position. When it becomes necessary to quit job for family matters, the woman and not the man will quit job. Men still have superiority notion and this has social sanction.

    compared to past situation now indian ladies got many rights from the society so i can say that indian women will get equal rights very soon.

    I think that women are more empowered than man these days.There are many exclusive laws meant for them and hence they are more protected now.All small issues like domestic violence,harassment at workplace,and coercion for dowry etc are being taken care of.Consequently, there are progressing shoulder to shoulder with men in all walks of life.Yet some antisocial elements are always there to harm them for which they need to be extra vigilant.
