    These days, reception is given in hotels or marriage halls. The bride and groom generally combine and relatives/ friends of both jointly celebrate so as to reduce cost of separate functions.

    The popular type of wedding reception now a days , if the people who are arranging this reception are very rich then they appoint a celebrity as receptionist for special attraction at reception. For example in one of my friends relatives relative has appointed aiswarya rai as a reception. and they paid her 3 crores.
