Satosh do you believe in unity in diversity. We are proud to be Indian ,this does not mean that we will not take the good things of others.

We are taking good things of other but we avoid to wear swadesi even swadeshi things are also good same way peoples avoiding other things and if they avoid all things then where is Indian culture.

Many Indians have inferiority complex and they consider everything English superior. It is okay to adopt foreign culture, dress and traditions as much as suits us. Foreigners also adopt some elements of Indian culture. This is natural as the world has come closer owing to quick transport and communication. But there is no sense in considering others superior.

Indians avoid English culture as our culture is very different from their culture.

It is due to a misunderstanding. We think that western culture is the best. But it comes behind us.Be proud in our culture.

I don't agree with it.India is known for its culture.

Khadi Kurta and Pyjama was popularized by congress during independence struggle. This was not part of Indian culture before that. Dress is more a way of habit. I am not accustomed to Kurta. We have adopted Pant shirt just like English language. what we adopt is ours. Even tea and coffee were introduced by British. We cannot abandon all that is legacy of British.

I feel that Mahatama Gandhi succeeded in ending British rule but he would never have succeeded in ending English, pant- shirt, cake, pastry and whiskey.

Indians have been ruled by british for sometime and during that time pant shirts, tea and coffee have become a part of habits. It cannot be stated as culture but can be stated as habits. I feel that western are infact adapting some good things from Hindu culture of India.
