Plastic one of the most used commodity around the world. Its present all around us, as morning brush, toothpaste tube, bathrooms, living room, refrigerators, home appliances, laptops, computers, luggage bags, food packagings, water bottles, and huge never ending list of things.

IN SHORT WE ARE LIVING AND BREATHING IN PLASTIC WORLD.

For those who are new, plastic is product of nothing but chemical composition. It has been proved by world reknowned scientists that plastic causes cancer and other dreadful deceases.

Though it would be wrong to say all plastics are harmful. But setting of a proper forum for testing of all the plastic products is need of the day.

Plastic is the main cause of rain water/ storm water logging all over the world.

After the sufferings caused during 26th July rains floods in Mumbai. Maharashtra state Govt. had officially banned use of plastic bags. But had to go on a back foot back because of industrial demand.

Well to conclude the use of plastic can be minimised by self control of each individual and proper awareness of the same.

one thing i want to add is plastic bottles that we use should not be reused.

TO AVOID REUSE OF PLASTIC BOTTLES PLEASE CRUSH THE BOTTLES AFTER ONE USE.

ALSO DONT USE SAME BOTTLE FOR MORE THAN A WEEK. ITS HIGHLY HAZARDEOUS.

plastic is really dangerous material when people use plastic products they just throw as they throw other materials but people remember that plastic are the compounds which cannot decompose if you bury a plastic bottle in a cultivation land or in any of your surrounding place and leave it as such and if you unbury that place again you can still see the plastic bottle as such.

Plastic is not only indecomposable, it also proves to be harmful to cattle and other animals that are commonly seen on the road munching on the roadside vegetation. So, we need to avoid the use of plastic bags, wherever possible.
As stated by users in this thread, plastic is very harmful for personal health and environment. It is not possible to totally eliminate its use at individual level though we should attempt. The government should take measure to replace plastic with some other material and regulate the industries accordingly.

The most ill effect is the accumulation of plastic on the ground layers due to which rain wates does not reach back to the underground water pockets, and when we bore and suck the water by pumps for our households and other purposes, it gets exhausted, thus creating scarcity of water.
Plastic bags are an environmental disaster; they are unsightly, they decimate wildlife, are filling the oceans and are made out of oil so help cause global warming. We use billions of plastic bags every year. We are still in a dilemma like asking ourselves the same question- Should they be banned?
