    I do not understand what Chakde has got to do with ladies. The society is male dominated. The male is head of family. Due to religious and social reasons, male supremacy continues. The modern society is heading towards gender equality.

    There are some inherent physical differences between men and women. There are some psychological differences as well. Both are important in the society and should get their rightful place. We are heading towards greater gender equality. Yet, it is for a particular individual- male or female, properly make self assessment and select career accordingly.

    The inequality in society is not deliberate. Traditionally, the men have been responsible for earning and women looked after household. Now the women are also seeking jobs and going outside the threshold of home. This is transitional period and some teething troubles are unavoidable. However, women are now getting more space in all fields and playing dominant role in certain fields. They are now in all walks of life. The most recent development is legal decision that officers of Military Nursing service (all women) be accorded same facilities and respect as to other corps.
