    As theortical it is not a Successful subject but our history is also important for our self as well as our coming generation they also know what happen in a past time.So according to me it is important.

    As a subject none is irrelevant from any point! I know of a young person who stood first in ICSE and ISC in science who later decided to switch over to humanities to study history and my latest information is he is a professor of a distinguished foreign university!

    History is important and helps us to know the past and we can gathered experience from the past.History plays an important role to go in future.

    It depends upon one's interest. I am really interested in knowing past things and love this subject very much but I do hate remembering years and date :angry:

    Sure, one can select it if he is interested. I think archeologists took history as the main subject of study. Isn't it?

    One must know his or her natural inclination before plumping for subjects.Lousiest careers could be made out of the best of subjects if you don't have it in you!!

    If a person likes to study history, then making a career is not hard. There are several branches such as civil services, archaeology, studies of humanities etc. where history is required. There is also a need for quality teachers of history in schools and colleges!

    Every subject is good if you have interest to learn that. This is good subject for career as tourist guide and archaeology.

    History is also good to get job in Government like IES and PCS jobs most people like to do it on History.

    These days parental pressures and their preferences come in the way of evaluation of aptitude and inclination of students in selecting the right subject for study which may produce disastrous results!
