The electronic media has simply substituted print media to a great extent. The electronic media is more efficient. Our thought process and analytical capabilities are not reduced by the electronic media. Science has revolutionized all fields- transport, manufacture, entertainment gadgets etc. Similarly, the media has also been revolutionized.

Electronic mode of communication has come to stay and we may feel nostalgic about the earlier modes but the people are learning very fast and making wider use of this. As for the quality I don't have much to complain about!
May be we cannot tell that e-mail and TV has prevented but to some extent yes, cos most of us are now watching TV and newspapers and books publications have gone down...

Technology improves the earlier means. This is in all fields. The sway we clean, we wash, we travel, we write, we live- every thing has changed. Refrigerator has replaced pitchers. Cooking gas has replaced firewood and kerosene. So, this is not surprising that the paper has been replaced by electronic media and internet. We need not lament the departure of paper books and paper newspapers but fill best content in the modern media- internet.
