It is natural for us to crave for sweets after a meal .According to experts apparently this urge or craving for sweets arises because of a hormone present in our bodies by the name of 'Seretonin' that gets released after we eat and our stomach gets full !
However, for most people no meal is really complete without eating dessert - fruits ,pastries , chocolates or sweets. ..
Personally, I have a sweet tooth and like to eat some sweets or fruits or at least a piece of jaggery or sugar candy after meals...

Yes people from olden times use sweets, in our area Jaggery particularly. They make it with mixing different dry fruits especially for eating after meals. However people have no time these days so go for ready made sweets. Now Chocolate seems to be the new trend- Kuch Meetha ho Jaye?

Yes , I remember my mother making so many varieties of sweets at home for festivals and it would all vanish before the festivities ended ...I still like sweets and make something or the other when children are there and I too love Quality street chocolates, one can go on eating them !

Unless it is Sunday or a festival day I guess most of us have hurried lunches and dinner is the time when the entire family is able to have a meal together...

There is really no exact time for me to eat sweets as mostly I get sweet cravings even before meal or between meal...at midnight... :P especially ice cream...
Yes sweet can produce more juice in digestive system so it helps to digest quickly.
