Age gap between spouse

Friends I have seen many couples who get married according to their choice and later repent. In such cases, either wife is elder than her husband or husband is much older than his wife.
Kindly tell me which one is good. What happens if age gap is more between spouse?

    In old days we used to find age gap between spouse.I think it was good.Wife respect their spouse much.But problem was also there wife just hesitate to confess anything lightly.They have fear about their hubby.And they both just not get close to each other soon.

    I agree that the two threads are almost similar but my question is different from that thread. I want to know about the problems that may crop up if the age gap between husband and wife is more. In the previous thread, we were asked to comment regarding the right age difference between husband and wife.

    My parents have 14 years age difference and my Nani is even younger than my father's elder brother :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
    Yet, till now, I never felt that their age difference has made a difference in their relationship. But I have to tell one thing, earlier it was possible and couples lived happily. But in modern times, I don't think it's possible :dry:

    The most common problems are mental difference and physical if the difference is too much in between the two partners mostly at a later stage.

    Yes, i agree with you....problems is due to mental differences...not age differences..... That's why even the classmates, who later married are splitting....

    This is common now a days we can see less people who are having less difference in their ages. Due to changes in culture this also changed alot. Many are splitting with no understandings between them.

    Not to worry Deviyani, the old thread can be closed since it has run out of steam anyway :) ...
    I personally feel that there is no right about age difference.what is presumed right was based on certain biological factors which were relevant for those days, so it is far more important for a couple to be physically,mentally compatible rather than give importance to age difference.as long as it is a few years this way or that way,it doesnt really matter as far as happiness and other major issues are concerned ...

    Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

    A big age difference may cause a few problems when one of the partners become inactive due to biological changes and the result could leave the other one ...(well, to your imagination.)
