One hit wonders!
in General Discussions
Certain persons enter a particula industry/field like a storm and leave a distinct finger print and everyone believes, he/she will create wonders and magic in this field. But some unfortunate persons remain "One hit wonder". It is not the case of movies only, literature, music or anything, instances are many. Can you quote a few such persons belonging to different fields?
For example: Mahima Chaudary of Pardes and Bhagyasree of Maine pyar kiya, they got great breaks to Bollywood and their first movies were great hits too. But they were not able to sustain that statistics in film industry later.

    I would consider Vinod Kambli in the list though he was not one hit wonder. He played well in in short time but then suddenly disappeared from cricket. There is no doubt about it that he was a good player. :)

    There are of course many such actors both male and female who gave a couple of hits and vanished...Dimple Kapadia would have been that after Bobby, but she did come back and have a great career after that. Mumtaz's sister or cousin acted in one film Kabhi Kabhie only... There was an old film Ek Kali Muskayee which had Joy Mukherji and Meera Jogelkar in the lead, she being the daughter of the film maker...

    Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

    To my mind comes a name- Priya. she acted in the movies 'Haqueekat' and 'Hansate Zakhm'. He role as Ladakh girl in 'Haqueekat' is unforgettable.
