    I pity these cops. They are over burdened with cases. So this is how they are preventing the complainants from reaching the Thana and lodging an FIR

    Hesitation to register FIR is understandable but why beat the complainant.

    They forgot that they are here to help and protect people. There are many cases (in UP, Delhi/NCR etc.) in which police tried there best to stop victim from lodging FIR. Government have to take some strong action against it otherwise nobody will rely on our police system.

    I had the misfortune of seeing it in our Telugu channels yesterday. Our heroes in Khaki beaten this girl in question as if they they have done a heroic deed.

    I too watched this on TV news channel and it was shocking to see it.It was senseless reaction from those who are supposed to guard law, like the case of the fence eating the grass...hope appropriate action is being taken against the police men , otherwise this is would lead to many more such incidents all over the country !

    Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

    This is a ploy now a days used by the police to stop people from lodging an FIR, that adds a burden to the police department which is miserably understaffed.
