    It's to make us believe that our governance treats women in equal terms with men. In fact it's not so. Even a child knows that it's a Populist measure.

    It serves the purpose of the government. It can work in capturing the women Vote Bank. Tell me what they could achieve by establishing Women Police stations? Have the atrocities on women came down.? It's just another populist measure

    Oh so there is shrewdness behind that, if one were to interpret things as you explained. But I don't think that will really help the government in a big way. Women are well aware of what's going on in the society.

    There are lot of complaints in this part of the country about the functioning of the women's police stations, where in actuality men police are doing the real job.

    There are many women conductors in ST buses as well. So, they are making a way ahead there. But the idea of having banks does not click really.
