    Not really sure what you mean to say but nowadays one feels only patriotic on 15th august and on 26th January and forgets about it for the rest of the year!! :blink:

    We are free and independent. Independence does not ensure good governance and immunity from problems and foreign aggression. Freedom brings more problems. For example, as a child you are not free but feel safe under your guardians. But as adult you are free but without parental protection.

    If you ask me the truth, Indians were never as free as they are today . They can do what they like without having to fear for anything or anyone. There is no law and order to stop them from committing what they like. Even law abiding people are more free as they can sit at home freely with no worries of going out because if they go out some one can rape them, cheat them, pick their pockets in government offices or kill them - freely.

    Threats of foreign invasions and terrorist attacks are eternal. They were there and they continue to be there. Still we are independent ever since the whites granted us independence at the stroke of 12 on August 15, 1947.

    We have achieved independence but we are still not liberated in the true sense! Of course there is a threat of foreign invasions from all sides, but within our country itself there are various forms of autocracy!

    Yes we have freedom but still lot of things need to be resolved like corruption,terror and population.
