What is ment by spamming?
Most of the people say keyword spamming, facebook got spammed, spammed post. What does it mean exactly.
I feel spamming means posting irrelevant things, am i right or wrong?

You are right up to some extent generally, spamming stands for posting or feeding unwanted information to readers who are not interested and without their consent in posters own interest or without interest. Whatever is not asked for but forced on someone is SPAM. Whatever is not proper or in place is SPAM.

Please see following link for better understanding of the term 'spam'. This is essentially 'unwanted content' usually advertisements. Such spams appear in our posts also and these have to be deleted. I noticed many such spam in Yahoo questions also. The advertisement for property, astrologers, call girls are often put as 'questions'. I report them in yahoo as well as these are then removed.

thats great, my guess has become correct. Some people said that even websites get spam. Can you explain me about this.

Only websites get spam, because you cannot spam anyone personally. At the most you can send few pamphlets or brochures to someone through mail or by hand. In developed countries even that is considered spam.

Only websites get spam, because you cannot spam anyone personally. At the most you can send few pamphlets or brochures to someone through mail or by hand. In developed countries even that is considered spam.

In yahoo mail, there is separate section for spam posts. The posts considered spam are in spam file. Some times, you may not see an awaited mail in regular file. Then you can discover that this is marked as spam and kept in spam file. So it is necessary to check spam folder also to see whether any urgent post is kept there. You have also an option to transfer spam to another file stating that this is nbot spam. Similarly you may mark some mail as spam for which Yshoo will thank you.
