Yes there are number of cases where members of different houses have filed fake certificates and most of them are obviously against rules but there seems to be no body who cares or takes any against them.

It's not exactly a local MLA, but an MLA from my neighboring constituency is a maedical doctor. Presently, he's in a jail for misappropriation of funds.
Academic qualifications will not carve out a Devta from a Demon.
The elected MLA Mr Lobo is from our Area is from the congress party...he is a very nice person, well known and humble. He lives simply and is very down to earth. He is well qualified, was a lawyer and also a lecturer in the local law colege and well respected and we all voted for him regardless of what party he belonged to and he is doing commendable job in cleaning up Mangalore and generally looking after all the civic problems..

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

It is a nice suggestions and one Rajya Sabha MP is set to be disqualified from Upper House with this rule as he was linked to MBBS scam.

MP from my area is educated in US and well known for his swapping activities to remain in power without a feeling of shame. He can change his affiliation overnight to become a minister with his party.

Any person who feels shy will not shine in politics. You should be thick skinned, thick skulled and shameless. With these qualifications you can land in Parliament and from there, who knows where.

They will have to change now. This tactic will not go on for ever. Enough is enough, give us a break from dirty politics.

That day is not far away. We the people will surely become the destiny writers of these politicians. You and I waited patiently all these days. Sun will not remain always behind the clouds. Lets wait for some more time.
Is it necessary to set a minimum qualification of our politicians to qualify for elections? It can be different for different seats for different elections.
We can set high school for local bodies and for state and national elections a degree in any subject. Do we have enough degree holders in our parliament and state assemblies? Any idea of education of your local MP or MLA?

We are going to have our parliamentary election soon. BJP has announced its Prime Minister candidate Mr. Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Born to express, not to impress.

Please stick to the topic in the thread. This is about qualification of politicians and not about parliamentary elections and election of P.M. by elected MPs.
